Thanks, Skip. I know the rig is gone. Last report was Waiting on Completion on 8/12/2011.
Scout reports are updated weekly and based on work permits issued at the Conservation District office level. But it is as Skip said, the process can be slow. SONRIS is updated as soon as information from the operator is available. You can find the Office of Conservation numbers here: http://dnr.louisiana.gov/index.cfm?md=pagebuilder&tmp=home&...
You are always welcome to contact them to check things out.
Thanks!
Tracie
Well, here it is January 2012. Last Scout Report is still 8/12/2011. Information is still showing "In test" "waiting on completion". Any thoughts?
Nancy, post the well serial number please.
243211
Effective 11/29 well S/N 243211 was assigned an Allowable of 18,552. This indicates that the Initial Production of the well was 18,552,000 cubic feet of gas per day. A good well. Maybe even a very good well but that can only be determined when the completion report is entered in the databases and we can see the other completion data such as choke size and pressures. I suggest that you search SONRIS Lite using Wells by Section-Township-Range. Leave the section box blank and enter the township and range (11N -12W). Click on the well files for status code 10 wells in the vicinity of Section 12 and compare the Initial Production rate in the Well Scout portion with the Allowable section further down the page. I think you will see the correlation. Congratulations, you have a good well.
Thanks, Skip. The closest wells near this one had rates of more than 14,000. I'll keep looking every week for updates. Hopefully it will be soon now that the holidays are over.
Skip, the well info has now been updated. We were told to expect Division Orders in 3-4 months. And Royalty check another month after that. Is this information correct?
Nancy, no one outside of the operator, and your lessee if not the operator, could know the timeline for the division order report. As far as an average time, that's a reasonable estimation IMO.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
