I HAVE MINERALS IN HARPER COUNTY KANSAS.  I LEASED TO SHELL OIL CO.  THOUGHT I WOULD POST A COUPLE OF ARTICLES TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO OR INTEREST ABOUT THIS PLAY.  CHESEPEAKE , SHELL , AND SANDRIDGE ARE THE BIG PLAYERS IN AREA AND IT IS ABOUT 100% LEASED UP.   SHELL OIL CO IS DRILLING THEIR FIRST WELL NOW. SHELL ALSO JUST PERMITTED A WELL ON THE CHAIN LAND AND RANCH CO A VERY BIG RANCH.  SANDRIDGE HAS BEEN DRILLING SINCE 2009 IN OKLAHOMA AND NOW MOVING INTO KANSAS. CHESEPEAKE HAS PERMITED A FEW WELLS NOT SURE HOW MANY THEY HAVE DRILLED.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
