This low level flight was probably way less expensive (gas wise), I expect, than the last pictures were.  I trust no cattle were traumatized by the gathering of this intel ;-)

  We know that grounded pilot needs a better camera with a long range lens ------ what was impressive about this location was the size of the frac pond that was estimated at 30 acre feet and also that the frac job itself consisted of about 30 18 wheeler trucks on site at the same time -------- all this for just a VERTICAL WELL .

   Will they try to test/flare this well before the pipeline hook-up and surface equipment is in place dbob ?

    The pipeline ROW is flagged and clocks out to be 4 miles to the NE at an Enbridge Line.

  Cattle seemed comfortable with the whole operation and showed no excitement about there owner having enough money to feed um better soon. These were actually some young heifers and a single Bull and the bull seemed busy.

That last bit about the bull... may be TMI, LOL!!  Probably good news to the owner, tho.

I think they will test and flare before starting construction on the pipeline, unless they are certain its a winner.  4 miles is a little two long, IMHO, for a pipeline based on a guess.  Its probably worth another low level flyby in a few days.  

FYI, talked with family in the general area and got onto the subject of low level military training flights that used to happen in the area, and often did spook the cattle.

Photo from a low level, night time flight, collected in the last 48 hours - Photo shows flare in approximately 10 mph wind.  Looks like they are flowing back.

 

In other news, flagging and smoke near FM 2781, southwest of Pennington.  Observation is generaly conistent with pad construction.   General location does not appear to correspond to RCT permit locations

  Guess that BULL and those HEIFERS are getting to enjoy a romantic evening by firelight now.

 

   It's about time for that pilot to make another round and see what's new ---- hearing that he has used up all his volunteers to hang out the window and snap those shots at high speed in the Winter Months.

    Hearing something about Kinder Morgan picking up a short pipeline in the Apple Springs Area ---- wonder whats up over there ?

I've lost all visibility to the goings on over there, short of what i'm getting here.  Suspicion is that there are a few more wells in the works.  Kinder Morgan involvement is odd, as their typical MO is to own assets that are operated at or near capacity for long periods of time.
