LOL... That's how old I am. I remember not get many of those "pit stops" either.

There aare usually a lot of ways to get it done...but even more than the extra money - is their problem that others will get the same idea....and they "can't" start down the slippery slopes...
Directional drilling could be done at 20-30ft depth beneath your surface property (deep pockets) ?? would that avoid the problems...if spills are the problem that will be expensive also - automated block valves on a 28-36in pipe.
