Present day map of the Barnett. Will the shreveport bossier area look like this in 5-10 years?

Thats the big question. Wish I was smart enough to answer it. My first thought is - good in some respects, bad in others.
The thing that jumps out at me from that map is the proximity to the water sources of those wells. Otherwise, I can see some real benefits from it.

Well stated. I'm on board.
I think the bigger companies will try to drill in each section to get it held by production, while smaller guys will go ahead and drill multiple wells in a section. So we may not see such dense clusters of wells like this for sometime.
This has been HK public stance: Drill the leases about to expire first to hold units. Then come back and drill more wells in each unit.
They also use a teir system with a core area. They keep adding new teirs even recently.
