It has been a while since I have received information on the wells in Section 1 in Desota Parish.  Does anyone know how many wells are already drilled in this seciotn?

There are dozens of Section 1's in DeSoto Parish.  One in fact in each and every township.  To answer your question the members would need the township to go along with the section.  It would look something like this:

Section 1 - 12N - 14W.

My papers show that it is Norris Section 1 - 13 - 13 H.

I thought that a section consisted of approximately 600 acres and if a well was drilled anywhere within your section, and not necessarily on your land, you would still receive royalties for it.  How do you find out the area that you would be eligible to receive royalties if a well is drilled.

It would be easier to explain if I knew what well you were referring to since there are no new wells for your section since you last asked.  That way I don't have to recite all the different possibilities just to hopefully cover the one that fits your particular circumstance.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
