Our family group is approx. 6 months from expiration of our first batch of original leases with Triad (SWN). Anyone have any contact from SWN agents wanting to renew or "new" groups that have an interest?

SWN has already allowed leases on ~ 60,000 acres to expire in the northwest corner of their Brown Dense lease block. The chances of either SWN exercising extension options or leasing interest by "new" groups is location specific.
I heard some in N. Claiborne had been extended,
Thanks Skip and Tony for the info.
Chip, if you would like to get more input, post your discussion in the appropriate group or groups. When you do so every member of that group gets an email alerting them to your question. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
