From Goodrich's earning release
The Goodrich Petroleum - Crosby 12H-1 well continuing to outperform the Company's 800,000 BOE type curve, with approximately 75,000 BOE (91% oil) produced in three months, with current production of approximately 700 BOE per day. The Company has participated with a non-operated working interest in the Ash 31H-2 well, which is a 5,300 foot lateral with 18 frac stages. The well has been flowing back for approximately two weeks and is still cleaning up due to the large frac job of one million pounds of proppant and 29,000 barrels of fluid per stage. Current 24-hour peak rate is approximately 730 BOE per day (92% oil), with 4% of the frac fluid recovered.

They are fishing again for the remaining stuck coil tubing hoping to get this well into full production as Mark P suggests.
Let's all hope the Goodrich Smith well and the 2 new Anderson wells (17 H2 and 3) will be as good as the Goodrich Crosby. After those wells, we will be watching the 2nd HH by Encana and the Huff and 2nd Crosby wells by Goodrich. After the 2nd Horseshoe Hill maybe the Encana Lawson(Amite Co) or Willis (in W. Fel.) will be drilled - pad sites are waiting on both. These 2 wells may however take a back seat to the Anderson 18H2. What we really need is Encana and Goodrich to both add additional rigs to speed this development process up. IMO
Steve,
Goodrich says they are following up the Smith by drilling the Huff well, then possibly another well by year's end.
EnCana officially says they aren't drilling another well until a mid-June assessment. (I imagine this meeting will be put off until the two new Anderson wells have been brought in.)
That said, there are a LOT of rumors about the next well(s) to be drilled. Here in Amite County we think the Lawson wells will be next. You imply knowledge that the 2nd Horseshoe Hill will be EnCana's next and that the third Goodrich well will be a 2nd Crosby.
If you can say, what are your sources of info and how reliable do you think this information is?
Nothing is confirmed and no plans are set in concrete of course, but, Encana is currently preparing the HH pad and has told 2 landowners and a local site building service I spoke to that the rig (from the Anderson site) is parked(somewhere) waiting to move to the HH 2 pad as soon as it is ready, which should be within days. I am not as sure about the timing of the Crosby 2, but ,Goodrich recently applied for the permit to drill a Crosby #2 - this is probably the "another well by year's end" you mentioned. I have seen both the Lawson and the Willis well pad sites and either could be ready on short notice as well. On the ground indications are that HH is next for Encana, then potentially either the Lawson or Anderson 18H2. IMO. I have no direct knowledge, but this is the current plan according to some landowners that have spoken to Encana. That said, Encana has, on a couple occasions, had a reversal of plans - the Willis pad for example, has been ready for way over a year and was at one time on Encana's calendar to spud in April 2013, but that didn't happen, and the Lawson site has been developed for a while. The Anderson 18H2 was once on the calendar to be drilled immediately after the 17H2 and 3 but that changed to the HH. We will just have to wait and see what actually happens. I did hear that Encana has plans to bring in another rig this year, but that is an unconfirmed rumor, however from a good source - that is definitely still just another rumor that has circulated in the past without a new rig showing up - so I am skeptical unless I hear it directly from Encana's rep or from a landowner that has been told that by Encana.
Another issue with EnCana is that they just hired a new CEO, so you don't know if he will change direction.
Encana announced today (6/11/13) that its Board of Directors has appointed Doug Suttles as its President & Chief Executive Officer and a director of the company.
Doug Suttles is a seasoned executive, with 30 years of oil and gas leadership experience. He has led oil and gas businesses in numerous countries and consistently delivered strong results. Most recently, Doug has served as Chief Operating Officer, BP Exploration & Production. He is a mechanical engineer and a 2008 recipient of the University of Texas Mechanical Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award.
I forgot about this Goodrich permit in Wilkinson county which could be a contender after the Huff well :
Goodrich permit for Ventress 44-39H 1, API 2315722043
Permitted in Oct 2012 and 1/4/2013
lat 31.12520
long 91.39442
Sect 43 T2N R3W
Depth 11,417'
Wilkinson Co.
1104.1 acres
Yes, and there is a Bates well being permitted just northeast of Liberty by Goodrich which is another contender.
Mr. Turnham talked about the possibility of a dozen or more wells in 2014 if these latest wells perform as expected. They seem to be getting prepared for a ramp up.
I observed that the Anderson 17H2 and 17H 3 setup for fracking is in progress. Fracking should begin shortly - probably within a week to 2 weeks at most. IMO
I have a hunch that some of Encana's leases and possibly Goodrich's as well are approaching the end of their 3 year initial term. Some lucky landowners should be getting another round of bonus money to extend their leases another 2 years. Any one out there had their TMS lease extended yet?
I noticed references to the 'Willis' well. I am not familiar with that well. Anyone have a location on that one? Is that in Wilkinson Co., MS?
Thanks
CB
Hey, never mind. I found the information on MSOGB.

Willis location is in W. Fel. Parish La. west of Hwy 61 about 10 miles south of Woodville near Laural Hill, La. Encana has a lot of property leased in this area as does Devon and Trinity. Encana has several permits in this area but has not drilled. The closest wells are the Encana Horseshoe Hill and the Devon Murphy well.
Also am hearing of a Goodrich well at Foster Creek that may slip in before the Huff or Crosby 2. Anyone know where this is?
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
