Anyone with info about EOG buying out Bluestone Nat. Resources and CH4 Energy in Walker County.

Also check out production on Apollo Gibbs well.  Can this be correct?

No oil or condensate - only gas reported on reports.

Completion data shows gas gravity of 0.66 so some NGL's (but not a lot)

Howdy Y'all,

Just curious....where is the Apollo Gibbs located?  On the East side of the River in Walker County (Kittrell Area) or on the West Side of the River on the Huntsville side?

See attached / Apollo Gibbs is red dot

Thank you, Mark P....

Looks like it is closer to Roans Prairie/ Cook Springs/ Bedias from the looks of the map.....appreciate the information!

It is reported in the Georgetown but it  be may a dual completion in the Buda & G.town. They have an SWR10 on those fields.

It made in excess of 400 bbl condensate in June (DH)

 Thx Jeffree

Is that what it made for the month of June or is that what they sold ?

     Was it a full month's production ?

Re: Apollo Gibbs 1H Production - Major Correction

I just dug into the Tx RRC site and looked up the monthly production info plus completion forms for this well.

Looks like we are mistaken about this well having produced 2.5+ BCF in three months.

Seems like the well (which is a SWR-10 / downhole co-mingling of producing zones) IP'd 2425 MCF per day but also 465 BW per day (see attached G-5).

In looking at the monthly production reports filed with the state, the disposition codes associated with the gas production shows that most of the gas is "1" or "lease use". By this, I am guess-timating that operator is recycling injected gas as an artificial lift option to unload the well and produce a much smaller amount of actual formation gas.

Following are the reported numbers for April, May and June 2013 for this well. Three numbers per month: Total volume produced, Lease use volume and Transmission line volume, respectively.

  • April 2013: 661 MMCF. 628 MMCF, 33 MMCF
  • May 2013: 917 MMCF, 852 MMCF, 65 MMCF
  • June 2013: 968 MMCF, 890 MMCF, 78 MCF

So it appears that operator is recycling the gas to unload the well and is reported all the "produced" gas to the Tx RRC as production. The additional volume is what is going to the transmission line / sales.

So well is making about 2 -2.5 MMCF per day.

Very misleading reporting, to say the least IMO.

There is some miinor oil production and it is all classified as "8" - or skim oil associcted with SWD operations that is credited back to the well.

Assuming the well is making IP type volumes of water, this well is producing 12,000+ BW per month. So a very small oil cut.

No oil reported in April, but 38 BO in May and 451 BO June.

Appears that rates are increasing over time but still much lower than orignally believed.

Mark P,

Do you think they could have done a gas frac on this well? Could that account for such high formation production that was Code 1?

No indication on completion reports that this well was frac'd. But IMO even it was frac'd with GasFrac approach, the associated spent liquified gas volumes would be much much less than the amount of gas is being reported as "lease use"

Production report from RRC attached.

Does anyone know when monthly production data is updated on RRC? Just curious as to when we will see July numbers. Thanks

If operators file on time, July numbers should start showing up this week. But many operators tend to be slow and may even miss this month's filings until next month.

Sort of helter skelter as to compliance

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
