No check from our lease with BHP in Desoto for month of Sept. Started trying to contact them (almost impossible--I say almost as I finally had a 1 line email from revenue saying they know they have a glitch). I thought it was just us and then found out it was everyone in our section & have since talked with others I know in Desoto in different sections who also didn't receive a check for Sept. royalties. HAs anyone else had a similar experience?

Is EVERYONE getting their BHP checks????
We received ours on the 22nd, we are in Bossier Parish.
Thanks for the reply. Apparently then the glitch is in Desoto Parish. Some people in Desoto that I know who were with Petrohawk and then went into BHP have not received checks (including me) for last 2 months.
KCM, This letter came with my Petrohawk check this month for Desoto Parish T15N R14W sec 19. It may help with your dilemma. R
oops, I meant to type section 29 not 19, sorry.

I would never lease with BHP because of this problem. Your letter tells me a lot more than any call center.
These royalty owners got theirs, times two and plus attorneys fees, as per statute. So who doesn't love a happy ending:
Thanks CS. We got our checks.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
