We received a check from Anadarko yesterday, but there was no indication as to the location of the well. We don't own any other mineral rights in Caddo Parish. The check indicates that it is in payment for gas and condensate production. The earliest production date shown is 12/13/2013.

If you own minerals in Section 6 - 19N - 14W, as you indicate in your discussion heading, you are in the producing unit (HA RA SU62) which includes all of Section 6 and the north one half of Section 7 - 19N - 14W. It doesn't matter where the well pad is located. It matters where the perforations in the horizontal lateral are located.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
