On the main SONRIS Help Center page click on the " Louisiana Office Of Conservation Website" link. Under "Imaging" Click on "Well Records". On the "Search" page, under "Office", select "Office Of Conservation". Under "Document Type", select "Well Permit To Drill/Amend". Under "Well Serial Number", enter the Serial Number for the well. Click on "Execute Search". After opening the permit files use the arrows at the bottom of the window to select each page. The well plat is usually the last page. Good Luck.

I used this to find a well plat which is helpful. I am looking for more survey information on the size and corner coordinates of the permitted well section. I am trying to overlay 3 sections on a tract of land map.

If you use Google Earth, try Earth Point.

I should have said well units and not sections.

You'll need to search Field Orders which you can do in Document Access also.  You'll need the 4 digit field code.  You can find a list in the database but if you know the field or fields let me know and I'll give you the codes.

Thanks Skip

I may be able to look it up now that I know to look under Field Orders.

When you've got it figured out, let me know where to send the bill.  :-)

Send it to Hillcorp!!!

Hilcorp already knows how to use SONRIS!

I know I did this successfully when the directions were originally posted 10 months ago. However, I don't see the "Image" or "Well Records" etc, any more.

Has this site changed dramatically, or am I merely a dunce?

THANK YOU!

SW, this discussion is five years old.  And yes the database has changed.  Use this link and then click on Document Access  then on Document Type and  then Well Permit To Drill/Amend.

Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU, Skip! :-)
