Stacy, any member may delete a response or delete, close or edit a discussion they start. Also replies are sometimes deleted, mine above being an example, where something didn't post properly. When I post opinion or fact I like to provide back up data and where possible a link to the source of that data. The links to the SONRIS Lite well files above did not work when I posted them the first time so I deleted the reply and posted again. It is always a good idea when posting a link to go back and test it to confirm that it works properly.
I posted a question about the permits before I saw your reply below the OP. I deleted my question after seeing you post Skip.
Thanks.
Gottya. You're welcome.
It seems like the TMS is blowing north of me and these wells are happening south of me. I hope I don't stay in the Dead Zone.
It will take a couple of years and possible 60 to 80 wells to get a handle on the extent and economics of the overall play area. The TMS is just getting started. No one should spend too much time fearing that they will be left out at this stage. There's a lot of unleased lands within the generally accepted play boundaries. It could be 4 to 5 years before all the economic rock gets a well.
The good news at this point is that there are currently 57 undrilled TMS permits in LA & MS.

The website was the brainchild of Keith Mauck, a landowner and entrepreneur who recognized a pressing need: landowners in the region had little access to…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
