Permalink Reply by Skip Peel - Mineral Consultant on rodney, look at my discussion, ST HELENA PARISH TMS UNITS. Each of the units have a link to the application or field order. Click on them. The last page of each is a plat or map of the sections included in the drilling unit boundary. That's the only definitive way that I can show where units are located in the parish and which sections and portions of sections are covered by units. The wells are being drilled where units are formed.
Thanks I think on that acreage plat one of them is just a little east of ours so we may not be involved yet in La.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
