Skip,
I thought they were finished drilling the Verberne. I know there was some issue at the end -- lost a tool; portion of hole collapsed. Several rumors are out there. Can you shed any further light on the situation given this recent report?
Barbee, that kind of information is not contained in the weekly rig report. All that this Friday's report tells us is that the rig is still conducting operations on the well. Keep in mind that when the well is "drilled" the rig's job is not done. After the rig TDs (reaches Total Depth) it will condition the wellbore, run the final casing string and cement the final casing string. The depth, 18938', may be the TD although the well is permitted to 20,000'.
Thanks for the info!
does this mean the well is not productive?
No, judy. It means the rig you are asking about was still drilling the Verberne well last Friday.
ok thank you! hope it hits! thanks for your patience with me please keep me posted!
any word on this rig! Many thanks!

Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
