Any geologists in Shreveport going to attend this? Will this make it easier for the gas companies to go to the sweet spots or is it totally unrelated?

Can anyone attend this?
Maybe some local media guys could attend and then give us a little summary. They could even dumb it down and just tell us exactly how much gas is in north LA and where it is located :) From the Mancini study a few years ago the number was around 4500 TCF.
I called, they said anyone can attend.
Nisi...that is great...i live out of state but i'd think it would be great of some of the site members could attend and share the information they gathered.

I'll report back if I'm able to go. My brain may be fried afterward though. lol
This isnt Geology 101 I can Promise you that. Most of us wouldnt understand much more than Mancini's Introduction of himself, also he want go into specifics on area, just what to look for in targeting areas of the play with the highst amount of TOC. If you dont have the data it would be useless even if you did understand it!
do you know if registration is closed? would a "novice" (i'm a royalty owner... know about leases and a current landowner) understand and learn much from this or would it be overwhelming?
She said they were taking walk-ins.
Nisie, i undersand John's comment above being that most if not all might be more 'technical' than a lot of us can absorb. However, I'd hope that wouldn't discourage those of you who live in the area and can attend. Networking is a huge part of this educational process. I'm sure that information can be shared an exchanges at some level of understanding......Let me know if you do decide to show up b/c honestly we all might be shocked what you learn!....if i didn't live in Atlanta, id go for sure.
