Did the State get bids on any of these tracts? It looks like this area is below the Shelf. My guess its a lease to take a look at the AC or Deep Louisiana EagleFord.
Tract 44145 - No bid.
Tract 44146 - $227 bonus and 21% royalty by Lake Ronel Oil Co for 25 acres in multiple sections of 7S - 5E. No new well has been permitted or drilled by that company since the auction. They did drill a Wilcox well previous to bidding on this tract.

Tract 44147 - No bid.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
