Get with a good O&G Attorney.  Throw some money at them.  Learn as much as you can on your own.  Never allow yourself to feel pressured into making a decision quickly.  This stuff isn't going to just up and disappear, the interest may wax and wain, but it's there until it's harvested.

The best thing that was said to me was from my father, "Do you want a fast nickel, or a slow dime?"

Another thing I have to keep reminding myself, I could be getting nothing...
