Brother lives in Berniece and neighbors across the road received $3400 an acre from people in south Louisiana and other neighbors were offered $90000 for their 20 acres. Wonder if they know something we don't know. Last they knew land was appraised at 800 an acre. Just wondering

Dot, the frenzy in companies buying Haynesville minerals is now about two years old.  Since you are on the edge of the defined play, you might not have gotten any really strong offers until now.  If you were not on the edge but further west, you might have enough offer letters by now to paper a small bathroom.  Nothing is in the public record currently indicating new wells in the near future for your section but your township has a lot of development underway currently.  None of those companies are interested per se in your "land".  They want your mineral rights.
