I recently received an initial offer by telephone of $300/acre and 3/16 royalty for a 5-year period for approximately 100 acres I own near US 69 and Dead Man Road (CR 317) a few miles west of Zavalla. And I know of one offer of $2,700/acre for mineral rights in the area. I'd appreciate any information others may have on lease offers/royalty offers in that general area of the county, which has not seen much activity until recently, I believe.

lee, my comment is based on the entire fairway. Things may be somewhat different in Angelina currently but I doubt it is significantly different. I see multiple offers for sales and leases weekly so I'll stand by my opinion. I've been doing this for sixteen years now.

The per acre numbers that you specified are for an outright purchase of mineral rights, fee estates and royalty interests. Silver Creek Resources is aggressively contacting mineral owners north of HW 103 West and east of HW 59, with a specific purchase interest in minerals located in Black Stone's Laceyville Field. FYI - multiple private equity companies are aggressively purchasing minerals in Angelina and San Augustine counties.
