Hope to maybe make it out this weekend if y'all are open.

I do want to say that I don't know any of the lawyers that I mentioned, it's just that I have run across their names in this context since all of this play has started. Just don't want anyone thinking that I'm making a recommendation of anyone in particular, because I've never met any of these guys.
I just thought of something else. When you first started asking about this, you were wanting to know about Haynesville Shale leasing, but I got sidetracked talking about the Winchester wells. You may still want to talk to someone at Chesapeake or Petrohawk, though, since you're unleased. Section 15 is under production from an older well, but I know that a landman from Chesapeake was looking at a couple of landowner's old leases to see if they had the deep rights clear to lease. In other words, this guy was showing interest in leasing for Haynesville Shale exploration even in a section that has a producing well. So the same thing may be true for you.

I don't have the name of this guy with me. I had talked to him about my own property, but never heard back from him. But I can find it later on and get it to you. Insomniacnla may have a contact person for you, too.
ok, thanks. I did email chesapeake and received a reply today that a landman would be in touch in a few days. I guess I will find out soon. I did also call the office of conservation and asked who enforces the rules and keeps people from stealing your gas when you don't have a lease and they said there is nobody. I am having a hard time believing that there are no laws and enforcement for this.
We have business with Winchester also, but they do not have the deep depth rights, so we are contacting other companies.
I also had a callback from a guy at Chesapeake and he said their focus was in other areas at this time. I am in 14N14W
Are you on Section 15? We are 14.
Sorry...we are 21, 22, 27, and 28. 14N14W
My shares are in Gloster...very close to you. We have not had offers yet, though we have contacted the companies ourselves. It might be a good idea for you to do that. Petrohawk, El Paso, and Encana are all interested in the area. Chesapeake, however, seems to be focused in other areas. Stay informed. Go to the websites. Email them with your Sections, etc. Go on record.
Well, I know by looking at the courthouse records that Chesapeake took one lease in my Section (21), T15N, R13W, and I know from another friend that they took her lease for 1.5 acres in Section 16, so they're doing something up here.
You might be the area that they are focused on then. Good luck and keep me informed. We have had no offers as yet.
I haven't had offers, either, but then I only have 2 acres and most of the property in my section is leased to Winchester and Long Exploration Co. I have contacted Chesapeake and Petrohawk, but haven't heard back, although both of them say they are interested. I wonder if you might need to talk to Chesapeake again; I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't be interested at all in the Gloster area, too.
Just talked to them the first of the week. They contacted me after I emailed them. I have cousins also trying to talk to them, so hopefully, you are correct. Everyone tells us to just be patient. That is so hard to do.
