Does not look good.
is this the prescott well operated by Chesapeake? Looks like that's an IP of 5.22 million cubic feet per day. Do you have a link to where you saw this info? Thanks.
Yes this is the prescott well. This info was on Sonris today
well, 5 million isn't a barnburner compared to Elm Grove that's for sure. I think this will have the effect of reducing future planned wells in mid and north Bossier until natural gas prices recover even further ($7-8/Mcf minimum).
This is much better than I expected, it is twice to 5 times as good as any well in 19N so far.
I am more than happy with the results, to expect anything more at this pont would be unrealistic.
even if it's better than average for 19N, i doubt this well will make a profit at today's NG prices. Look for many companies to start farming out to smaller operators on the northern edge of this play to hold leases by drilling vertical wells.
i wouldn't give up hope yet, there is going to be a pretty sharp learning curve on these wells. If we have learned anything it's that the reservoir to the west of the Pine Island wells is signifigantly better.
you mean to the east right? Although I think this well is south of Caddo Pine Island by a few miles.
Yeah to the east, yes it is just a little south of Pine Island, it is apporximtaely 15 miles east and 3-4 miles south of the Hall well.
It is in T19 rather than T18, but be aware that it is as far south in T 19 as you can get. On a north/south plane, it is only one mile north of Exco's Sharp well and two miles north of Chesapeake's Sharp wellm, both of which are in T18. The it I'm referring to is Chesapeake's Prescott well.
From the initial gossip I heard, this was supposed to be a strong well. The 5.2 mmcfd rate is disapointing.

I find it hard to believe that CHK is going to be able to make this dollar out.
