Taylor. Have you looked on SONRIS to see if there are any existing wells to Haynesville Shale depths in the area surrounding HK's unit application? A test well is a good bet if there are no existing wells that are of an age that would provide a good log. I'm just speculating on how much HK may know at this stage of the exploration process. It would also be of interest to see if HK is recording leases in the court house for this area.

Taylor, the following well was drilled in late 2008 and is about 4 miles northeast of the Petrohawk unit:

Diamond Oil, Oxy 11 #1 Well, Serial #238690, S11-T19N-R11W

anything on 18 N 15W any section ??

Ray. Nothing in 18N -15W. But something of interest in S28 - 18N - 16W. Petrohawk's Crestview Woods has been reported at 10 MMCFD on a 24/64" choke. Considering the previous results north of I-20, I would say this is welcome news.
