I was told yesterday that Encana will be moving two rigs to the Pleasant Hill Belmont area to drill test wells. Source said Encana wants to validate information that Shell supplied. The source would not elaborate any further. The source is in the industry and is considered to be reliable.

Olddog, thanks for the intel. I should not be surprised that Shell has brought EnCana over to operate these new joint venture wells. Looks to be part of EnCana's acreage management strategy.
I heard that 3 locations have been marked. One is at or near the Gaddis place, near Pleasant Hill, another is on the old B. Blankenship place across from Sug Blankenship (owned by GLPattison), and the third is on the TJ Sistrunk place off of Free Rd. I did see about 8 large tanker type trucks coming off of Rosey Lane onto the Free Rd. this morning. I was going to Converse, they eventually crossed 171 and went straight towards 191. Lots of dust with that much traffic, whew!
The pad for the Gaddis place is currently being built. Drove by it this morning.
I understand also that a pad is to be cleared off the Sistrunk Loop behind where J C Brown use to live....not sure who owns it now. I was wondering if any of these sites have been permitted yet, thanks Henry for the info. Did you notice if any of the other sites were permitted? Section 3 is unitized but sec 4 & 5 are not yet are they? The Brown old home place may be in sec 4. My interest is in sec 5......hope they unitize it soon.
My brother lives on the Sistrunk Loop and he said dozens of trucks have been going in to the TJ Sistrunk place this week. That's an Encana well, permit #239983
Encana filed a permit on July 10 for a well in Sec 3 of 9N, 12W. It's listed on sonris. This is their first Haynesville well in Sabine Parish.
where is sistrunk loop?
Google "Mitchell, Louisiana 71419" and it will show a loop that goes south and east of Mitchell on the south side of hwy 174.
Henry, I see a 20+ MMcfd well on the horizon with EnCana's entry.

EnCana, TJ Sistrunk 3 #H1 Well, Serial #239983, S3-T9N-R12W
Les B,
It would be nice to see a good well in the South, after all the SWEPI delays and mess ups.
In case people were not aware, EnCana has permitted a second well in T9N-R13W.

EnCana, Guffy Pattison 13 #H1 Well, Serial #239992, S13-T9N-R12W
Les. The three ENC Sabine permits in a week makes me wonder about the aging of lease terms in the parish. Any idea of the SWEPI lease term expirations in these fields?
