We have some decent acreage in northern DeSoto with the hourglass already ticking on a 3 year lease. How soon can we expect to see some serious progress? 3 years isn't very long and these companies have spent a lot of money just acquiring the acreage, so I'm assuming they have sufficient motivation to get right on it...right?

Why not go check on sonris and see where the permits are being filed? You can get a good idea of the activity in your area if you do this.
Can you please give me a slight bit of direction? I'm 3,000 miles away and trying to assist for elderly family in the area. Thanks.
What is your Section, Township and Range?
All I know is 14N/13W.
I found out the section numbers. What is the proper nomenclature for entering it into Sonrislite?
You go to wells by Section, Township and Range. Then enter your S, T, R.
Depends on neighbors (in my humble opinion) - what they are leasing for - how far is drill site - where are you located in the 640 acre square - and a million more factors I have no idea.

You can bank on that the Drilling Co.'s are going to make the most money THEY can for the least expense.

I'm expecting (in my case) somewhere between 3 and 20 years!

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
