Will gas prices contnue to fall and perhaps get stuck below a dollar for years to come? Even if rig counts drop, there is already wells pumping gas and more to come waiting on pipelines. And demand has been met permanently?? Will companies 'close up shop' and vacate the area. Only activity may be saltwater disposal trucks.

No, Chicken Little. Eh, I mean lethalinjection. Take a Brompton's cocktail and call me in the morning.
lethal,

Looks to me that you been drinkin' CHK's kool aid (and others, of course). Stop and think for yourself ! Does anyone think that these O&G companies are putting all this money into the HA just for OJT (on-the-job-training) ?

I think not. A year and a half ago nobody hardly ever heard the word 'haynesville'. Who's to say what is just around the corner in the next year or so ? Stay tuned.
lanadan, I wish we had a 'thumbs up' button on here. I'd sure give your post a 'thumbs up' for that statement.
lethalinjection - If you look at some of the charts and info posted by some like Les B and the_Baron and others you will see that prices, production and storage are all cyclic, always up & down. There is no such thing, IMO, as "demand has been met permanently," because this is a consumed resource. In other words, what's used is gone and needs to be replaced to meet demand.

hope this helps - sesport 0)
well, sesport, you sure seem to know how to pour oil on the waters to calm them. Way to go!
I don't think the prices will fall below a dollar. Although, right now things are not pretty. Winter time always helps some. It seems like most of the companies are still moving pretty quickly to drill wells. Most are probably just drilling to hold leases and prevent the necessity of option payments. I think that we will probably see it turn around in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2010. Then again, I am just guessing.
