In response to GoRicky, DrillingInfo only shows a single recompletion in the county in 2019 / Basa moved uphole to add a new zone (10 BO and 247 BW per day). Herd Producing (one of the major acreage holders in the county) plugged their Ricks #1 producing well in Sept 2019.. No new permits.

Here is listing of filed leases over past 25 months in Trinity County (from DrillingInfo site). Looks like a push from Houston County by SEM and Sequiter. Plus probably drilling unit associated work by Herd and LEOR

Does anybody know about any leasing in the County - seems like everything is dead; although Herd has drilled a few wells West of Groveton. They've been drilling for a couple of years, but haven't turned in one drop of oil or a puff of gas -

I've been curious about the well that was drilled last year out on FM 230 just before you get to the Gospel Hill Ranch...it's just inside the Trinity County line.
