AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |

I thinkg it was you who said you own mineral interest around San Augustine and that you were leased to EOG. I do not know anyone at EOG. However, I only hear positive comments about them. You may want to go to their website, www.eogresources.com.
Undoubtedly your property would come under jurisdiction of their Tyler office. You might call them and talk to their landman to find out about any activity regarding your interests.
At present all my interest are in LA and ARK. It has been more than 50 years since I did any work in Tx and it dawned on me that their land survey system is a bit different than most states. Therefore I am not up to speed on identifying your location and I have not really kept up with activity in that area, even though I did considerable work in E. TX in 50's.
You might be able to go to Texas Railrad Commission website and learn something. Strangely to me, they regulate oil and gas resources.
Unless you contact them you probably will never hear anything more from them until and unless they complete producing well in your drilling unit. The exception would be if they drilled on land you own. In that case they would contact you to pay land damages.
Sorry I cannot be of more help. Contact me any time you think I might help. and Good Luck.
