HK Motors Alabama has commenced US operations with a manufacturing plant in Baldwin County, Alabama. This plant will produce advanced technology vehicles that run on natural gas and have high energy efficiency and low emissions.

It was very interesting to see something else on HK Motors

Thanks.  Some reports said HKMC was stalled waiting on EB-5 approval.  I've also read that they were having trouble raising capital.  Then there was news that the property for the plant was put back out on the market.  Very confusing.  The company's website still indicates they're a "go" this year.  Who the heck knows?

I am surprised that our local movers and shakers and ethical politicians did not glum on to this. Reality bites.

No, I was imaging our locals now and of yesteryear attaching to a project like HK with the ultimate results. (Hightower, Glover, Walker, Demint,Edwards, Roemer,Foster) They all had the magic touch. Did they not?

As was stated in the comment section of DingoJoe's article:

The dot com crash made the general investing public a bit more wary of financial hucksters. Which caused the hucksters to move on to easier prey, like government officials. Who, after all, don’t have their own money at stake. And aren’t selected for their smarts as much as for their belief in their own abilities to manage what belongs to others.
