Event Description

We are organizing our neighbors for the purpose of leasing mineral rights. We hope to have a geologist, petroleum engineer, oil and gas attorney and a landman on hand to answer questions. Our focus is on the following sections in township 21: Sec 36, range 16W; Sec 25, R16w; Sec 19,20 & 30, R15 W. If you believe your property falls in this area, please join us. If you're not sure, we will have section maps at the meeting.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
