Here is a question for the attorneys in the group. What would be considered an appropriate contengincy fee to represent a group of land owners HBP from the 1955 lease which has a well drilled in a different section but never had development of the sections in question? I have heard everything from a portion of the sign on bonus we would get if we won all the way to part of the sign on bonus along with a portion of the royalty and we pay cost win or lose.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
