Tornado in Minden?

Has anyone heard of a tornado touching down in Minden? A friend who happens to be out of town called to ask me. If you know anything for sure, please let me know about it and any details so I can relay this to her. Thanks!

So far so good. there was a funnel sighted in Dixie Inn earlier and one sighted in Ringgold area about 30 min ago but nothing had touched down. We live at Bistineau and have a scanner, we are listening to Webster 911, Sheriff, and Minden PD, we also have some of the small surrounding areas on. I hope the power lasts!!

we have a police/weather scanner, I like it because we hear what is going on all around us during a storm like this.

We've been without power since 5 PM. Luckily, we have a small generator. No airconditioning. According to the news there are 125,000 of us without power and we will be for several days, it seems. :-(
