We were down Grove Hill Road last Sunday, and SWEPI had put in two pads for drilling. The man we talked to said the rigs were supposed to be in this week.

I know this is in 11N 12W. Does anyone know what section? I think it may be Section 10, 11, 14 or 15.

Thanks. I found it on SONRIS. I had looked on Monday night and it wasn't there. It looks like it was permitted on the 29th.
I own 240 acres (Sections 11 and 2) at the Double Churches on Grove Hill Road. I believe that at least one of the pad sites you mentioned are in Section 10. A surveyor there said one would be drillied this year and one next. A frac guy in the neighborhood also told me the Harris well would be fraced on Nov 17th. I realize the second hand nature of this info. He stated the past SWEPI wells encountered very surprising, strong pressure that gave the gas drillers fits in terms of broken drilling coils and collapsed casings. I feel that each company has a little different approach to their drilling. Encana' s website has an investor presentation that discusses a specific technique while Chesapeake's same investor info discusses super pads - Two drilling locations the straddle the section line (1 mile x 2 miles) with 4 leads north and 4 south. In total 8 wells per section. This gives them operational economies. The presentation is dated mid October and the second half discusses the Haynesville shale. It is well done and worth a look if you leased to CHK
These pads could very well be straddle sections. We had already looked at the presentation that you discussed because we have leased to CHK in Section 12.
Sorry, I have not been back down that way since Oct. No frac report.
Anyone notice if they are prepping in Sec 31 yet?
Sec 31 11n 12w is below Sec 19 11n 12w.
