I thought that I would try and get an idea of how many of us have not leased yet. You do not have to put your Section, but it would help. Anything else would help also, especially number of acres, section, township, range and any offers you feel like disclosing.

My last offer was from Chesapeake of $20,000 but 2 other companies have informed me they will beat that offer. My neighbors and I have approx. 35 acres.

Our coalition includes the following sections in Township 15N Range14W:
20, 29, 30, 32, 31, 15, 17, and section 25 of township 15N Range 15W. If you are in one of those areas and have not signed up yet please contact me asap @ kassi205@aol.com.
kassi, as i have informed insomniacnia, we have a group in Grand Cane in section 22, township 13N, range 14W that total about 70 acres that have not signed.
That is great! Have you all agreed to collecively bargain? Have you determined what you are looking for in a lease? Please do not forget to protet your environment in the contract you sign.
Kassi you seem to be the one that knows so much about the area's play. Is there organization with T14NR14W? Do you have a name or contact person for me to be in touch with?
Right now there is not that I am aware of. I did have someone call me about a week ago from T14N, R14W. She was suposed to get together with some of her neighbors then call me back about meeting with them. This may turn into an organization.
Did she leave a name or number you would share? I have a relative that owns the majority percentage in my sections and leased with Encana several months BEFORE the play was announced so leased large acreage for very little $. I don't know if that has thrown companies off and away from our smaller interest in those sections. There are still 8 of us that have not taken an offer for our interest.
I would love to have this information also, Eliza. Please feel free to share and any information I obtain, I will also share with you.
Thank you Kay DS1 are there others that might know news?

Has anyone else in the Stonewall/DeSoto Parish area had their offers recinded or lowered?

Also, both Chesapeake and Petrohawk had made it clear that they would "beat any offer you receive" and now have backed off from that statement. Has this happened to others as well?
On June 30, I emailed Petrohawk, and got a reply saying they were interested, but it would be six weeks before someone could reach me. Then, on July 15, I wrote again, and got a response that it would be another 4 weeks. Now, that initial time has passed. I wrote the person Monday, and have not heard anything yet. Keeping fingers crossed.
I am sending you an email through your Yahoo address. It is the number from the "I'll beat any offer you receive" landman with Petrohawk.
