I signed a division order for royalties last week and mailed it into Fossil Inc. No one there could tell me how much we were going to receive. Does any body have any idea how much gas these wells are producing?

Linda, you may want to ask some of the other site experts but as far as I know Plains Exploration (PXP) bought an interest in the CHK Haynesville leases. This may be one of those situations where CHK will pay their share of the royalties and PXP will pay theirs.
Thanks Skip. That makes sense, but shouldn't I have received something from chesapeake informing me of this? I'm guessing I'll probably get an explanation with the Division Order. When I contacted PXP earlier today (before I realized the amount was wrong), the guy I spoke with didn't know anything except the Division Orders would be going out next week. ...... Kinda looks like they got the cart before the horse.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Linda
Linda, if i may ask, "was the check disappointing or what you expected?" we're just now working towards a lease and am curious. We've heard so many different things.
Hi Keb,

I only have a little over 1/2 acre on this well, but yes, it was more than what I expected. According to the information on the check stubb, Virginia Packert 6H had a hugh amount of production for the month of July, so this check is probably more than it will be in future months. However, from what I've learned on this site, PXP only owns 20% of my lease, so their check is basically 20% of my 25% royalty for one month's production, so I'm still waiting on the remainder to come from Chesapeake. .... then I'll be a "happy camper"

Good luck to you.....
It's best to share information with those who are also leased to the same company as you are, so they'll know what to expect. Besides, sharing information about your lease and royalty payments is the best way to discover errors. ....

Thanks again to all of you experts out there who are willing to help us O&G novices...... And, an even bigger thanks to Keith Mauck for setting up and maintaining this site. ........ Additional donations will be forthcoming!

As Jack would say (or howl), "long live the Shale"
Hey Gang,

I just received a royalty check from Chesapeake on mineral rights that I own in the southern part of DeSoto Parish (Section 6 T12 R11). The check was for three months production....... Gonna be a good Christmas at our house!
Congrats Linda,
That mailbox money is pretty good! Curious, what'd it produce over 3 months mmbtu? Hope Kittycat is wrong about the choke back on 6-7....Any ways happy for you thought I heard some whooping coming from ND estates a while ago!
Thanks Dee Dee....... mailbox money is the best thing ever!!!!!!
June's production was 149,413 mmcf, July was 285,703 mmcf, & August was 300,620 mmcf.
Linda, let us know how your calculator you posted in August compares.
Ken,

If you are referring to my decimal interest, then yes, they got it right.
Jason,
I just read through this entire thread and I did not see the section-township_ range you are in.
But to answer your question, yes, many, many, many people have received royalties.
