A quick question ??

In a given section how much percentage leaseholds does a O&G company need to start drilling. I am sure someone will know on here :) Like could they hold 51% and drill on a section and force pool the rest. I know wont happen but just wondered what % they could start drilling at.

It is my understanding that they needs 80% retention before applying for unitizing and/or force pooling of a unit.
