Thanks for the info. Figures............Chesapeake is drilling on us as we speak. Guess they want it all. I am going to counter offer them that I will buy THEIR mineral rights (just the % we have) for the same price. Double my holdings if you will. Man, these guys are something.

They offered an entity that I am close to $18,000 per acre around Thanksgiving. The property was between Keatchie and I-49.

No, there was also a timeclock ticking on the mineral interest. But they were leased to CHK in March 08. Which led me to believe that they would drill before the mineral interest was lost. The lease was for 22.5% royalty.
