Bill to boost U.S. alt-energy vehicle technology wins Senate panel's OK

The nearly unanimous vote by the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources – there was a sole Republican dissenter – sends the legislation to the full Senate for consideration.


“We need to build the new vehicles of the future here in America in order to create clean-energy jobs in Michigan and across the country,” Stabenow said this morning in a statement. “I am pleased the Senate Energy Committee passed my legislation that will help boost our economy and provide part of the long-term solution

Thanks Mr Buckner.  Do you have any additional details about how this directly affects the natural gas E&P and build out of the vehicles and infrastructure.  I can kind of extrapolate.  Seems to be a lot going on... especially after we see BPH Billiton is buying Petrohawk.  Lots going on! jhh

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
