This is a post being sent to anyone having info on a shale fprmation called brown dense. There is a company called PINE bELT WHO IS RUMORED TO BE LEASING
several 300 to 400,000 acres in two counties in Ark. and one ....Union Parish ,La.
Is anyone selling leases?? If so ,what is the going rate?
EOG is spin-off to the old Enron company.
This lease asctivity seems to on a hush-hush basis.
Does anyone think this might be as big as any of the other shale plays? Jim B.

I didn't catch that about the J-W meeting.  That would be some good detective work there...
The Baron is IMO the most knowledgeable long time site member when it comes to the L SMK/BD prospective area on both sides of the state line.  However like many industry members, The Baron is unable to share any proprietary information.  I would rate The Baron's history for accurate and informed posting to the site an "A".

Thank you skip.

I try to present what I can in the hopes I will hear more back. Sometimes I am unable to say much, or just have to wait a little while longer.

Let me assure I was in no way calling Mr. Baron's accuracy into question.  My post was directed to Mr. Broadbent's comment regarding SWN's attendance at said meeting.  If I have offended anyone or spoke out of turn, I apologize for this.
bpm, no apology required.  Nuance is render somewhat mute in text communications on websites.  And every member who participates for some years soon comes to their own conclusion as to who is knowledgeable and reliable.  Everyone must choose who and what to believe or rely upon.  For those who look beyond the Main Page discussions, they will find an archive with three years worth of discussion topics.  I think you will find that many of those discussions confirm my opinion of The Baron.
I have to tip my hat, if I wore one, to Skip, Les B, The Baron and Jay along with many others for all the work and daily reports they provide to all the GHS community. I am with Skip, no apology required bpm. This is a site for the folks to learn and sometimes the folks are communicating off the top of their heads and don't think to much about what they are communicating until someone calls them out, but hey this is what GHS is all about.
The trouble with the internet is it is very hard to determine someones tone... what I may mean to be sarcastic or humorous may come off as just plain mean. Also, Sometimes we tend to just rattle off.
Is the JW unit you refer to the wellsite with permit no. - I think - 44449 in Union County?  What happened at that hearing?  (My family leased some land to Munoco not far from there so I have a keen interest in that site.)  Thanks.
J-W has formed several units and permitted one well. They have built the location, but have not begun drilling yet.
Walter, who is Munoco? Murphy?
Munoco is the Murphy family's privately-owned E&P company.

This seems to be getting interesting.  I am very interested as I have leased family land in Union Parish.

I learn more every day.

   Thank you,
