Has anyone out there heard about any drilling activity in Chambers or Liberty County Texas concerning EAGLE FORD SHALE formations?

This is the only thing I've seen on either county recently:

Crimson hits with Texas well

US gas-focused Crimson Exploration said the Catherine Henderson A-8 well in Liberty County, Texas came on at 13 million cubic feet equivalent of natural gas per day on a 11/64 choke with flowing tubing pressure of 6910 psi.

The well is producing 6.9 million cubic feet of dry gas, 445 barrels of condensate and 565 barrels of natural gas liquids per day from the Upper Cook Mountain formation.

It was drilled to about 13,500 feet total depth and hit about 110 feet of pay.

Crimson has a 66% working interest in the well.

The company drilled four wells in Liberty County and plans another three to four well drilling program there next year.

Thanks for your information. I was told that there are rigs being pulled out of East Texas and headed for Chambers and Liberty Counties. Your information may be what they were talking about.
Chambers and Liberty counties are at least 250 miles NE of the Eagle Ford which is primarily located in Atascosa, Live OAK, McMullen, & Wilson counties.
You can Google "Eagle Ford map" to see the location.

My main assets are on the Haynesville, but I have a ranchito on the Eagle Ford.

Magnum Hunter's presentation at IPAA yesterday had this updated map detailing where the Eagle Ford trend is continuing onward NE of it's early boundries and well into Gonzales, Fayette, Western Lavaca, Western Washington and even upwards into Grimes and Burleson and further NE counties. It seems to be the most comprehensive map published to date.

Magnum said that their Gonzo Hunter 1-H well is not online and producing between 1,000-2,000 BOE/day.

That well is in Gonzales County near the Lavaca/Fayette border so that well should help prove up the boundries of EF prospects much further to the NE than previously announce by any other O&G's.

Clayton Williams has also drilled some Eagle Ford wells as far North as Grimes and Burleson counties with results more in the 200-450 BOE range.

All told, it still looks like things are in the very early stages of determining exactly how far the EF extends.
Thanks for the information. There has been around 400,000 acres leased primarily in Chambers County recently for gas exploration which is where our old farm is.
Thanks Steve for you information.
Well, Gaar's posting was interesting since I have never seen a map of the Eagle Ford extending much past Beeville,TX

We all have to be patient with cash strapped companies like hk or chkp
