Because your claim appears rather small, going the Commissioner's route might be more practical. The Commissioner can tell an operator to pay, but cannot force him to pay. But the LOC can establish significant penalties for non-compliance with it's directives. Something to the tune of $500-$1000 per day of non-compliance in your case should get the operator's attention quickly. But it's a much longer haul than filing suit. It's unfortunate there are no punitive damages in Louisiana. Those always spike the deal on the landowner's side.

CS,

"Claim" is not small.  Going much higher than LOC...  Enough said.

Sorry, I was reading anther post as yours. My bad.

Don't worry about the fee's, look at volume sold, and price paid for the gas, you'll discover base on market prices, your really paying about 70%

MB,

Right On the money!

Be cautious when decrying the pale blue flame. It could cause a warr.

Greedy:

Are you referring to something about me, or is this just a case of misspelling?

to understand what you are REALLY being paid for your gas, divide the monthly gross revenue by the mcf sold for the month for example just recieved my revenue check for Feb

Chesapeake Johnson Co,TX 117.91 divided by 91.95 mcf mo = 1.28 per mcf

BP Hughes Co, Ok   932.92 divided by 281 mcd mo = 3.32 mcf

royalty owners should revieve a % of gas sold at wellhead minus taxes nothing less fuel gathering compression should not be a concern of royalty owners, those are decisions made by the operator, if royalty owners a charged any overhead they become working interest owners in my opinion.
