Chesapeake Energy is awarding a $100,000 grant to the Shreveport Downtown Development Authority for CNG truck conversion.

The grant is for the conversion of DDA's entire fleet of trucks to Compressed Natural Gas vehicles.

The DDA is contracted through the City of Shreveport to clean the public sidewalks and alleyways in the Downtown Development District and to monitor the on-street parking in the District.

It is anticipated that the converted Ford F-150 vehicles will result in reduced operational costs while providing a reliable, clean fuel
