COMSTOCK EARNINGS REPORTS/ LOGANSPORT "NORTH TOLEDO"

Did anyone check out Comstocks 1st quarter earning reports; they reference the pick up in drilling interest in Logansport fields, and also one of the most recent good producers in the "Toledo North" area. Anyone know if the well they reference is in Sec 20 T-12 R-16?

Shelby, the following well was the one referenced in Comstock's results as having an IP of 11.6 MMcfd. Sonris actually shows this well in the Benson Field.

Comstock, BSMC La 12 #H1 Well, Serial #238212, S12-T10N-R15W

They did not release any results for the Caraway #3 Well.

Comstock, Caraway Estate Hz #3 Well, Serial #239508, S20-T12N-R16W
Les B,
Thanks very much for the information; would you consider that a bit of a surprise for property owners this far South. Any idea when the Caraway Well is going to hit depths, and if it is permitted as a Haynesville well?

Shelby, I think it is a good sign but maybe not a surprise. That area should still be in the core of the play and should eventually yield some even higher rates (15 MMcfd??). According to Comstock, the Caraway well was drilled in 29 days and should be completed in late May/early June and placed on production in July.
Les, Chesapeake has drilled two wells just to the east in 11/14 which I would take as disappointing: they are the Coval et al 19H which IP'd @ 8.670 mmcf/day and the Mercer 30H which appears to have IP'd @ 5.733 mmcf/day. With well results like these, it is surprising to me that they are drilling as many sections in 11/15 as they are. With the infrastructure probably largely in place, they may have gotten too far into it in that area to turn back. I own minerals in 11/15, Section 36 so I strongly want these wells to be good. Hopefully they will improve greatly. With what they cost, they sure need to.
Spring Branch,
Were the wells you mentioned above permitted vertical with those sort of production rates?
Shelby
SB, on ther other hand EOG tested the following well at 17.4 MMcfd so technique must be having some impact.

EOG, Martin Timbers #H2 Well, Serial #237805, S2-T11N-R13W
