I have inherited minerals here--never leased. Starting to get a little interest. Anyone heart of anything going on there

I'm sorry I can't provide anything that is very helpful but there have been a few companies calling me trying to get logs on some older wells in this area. I don't know why they want them but there seems to be something going on. I know it's not much but it's certainly better than no activity in the area!

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
