Jffree1 - one question that is not strictly "East Texas". I assume that the Tarrant county info is left out because it is Barnett Shale and not our topic of primary interest. Most commenters around here seem to agree that Haynesville new drilling (although slowed) has held up to the extent it has primarily due to the need to get leases HBP. What is the dynamic for all the continued drilling in the Barnett despite low gas prices? Is it simply more economic there due to the local shale character and whatever economies that have been created through so much of the previous drilling and infrastructure creation?
Now you're asking me about an area I never look at, Ledlights. If I had to guess I would say it's a combination of HBP issues and a need to keep cash flowing. I don't know how much of the activity up there is in the oil/wet gas region but that could explain most of it, don't you think?
