Electric Company in Logansport upgrading Electric Lines because of new Gas Plant

I received a phone call yesterday from the Electric Provider in Logansport area.  They wanted to cut down trees on my property to be able to upgrade the lines. The reason was because of the Gas Plant or Station that is being built down the road.  I live in Houston and do not hear the local talk.  Does anyone know about this Plant or Station that is being built?  If this is true, does anyone know how that the new plant will effect the production in the area?

Caroline, I suggest you also post your discussion in the DeSoto Parish Group.  When you do so all the members of the group get an email alerting them to the new discussion.  When you post on the Main Page you run the risk of the discussion moving down and then off before the right person or persons may see it.  All location specific questions and discussions are best posted to an appropriate group.  That's the way Keith has designed the site.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
