Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

just when I was certain I figured things out......

1. Is the percent decimal the same as your interest in the land?

2. We have 40/640 acres

3. Is your interest in the land out of just the 40 acres or the total unit of 640 acres?

40/640 x royalty rate= your interest in the unit.

Thanks, And one more question about converting mcf to mmcfd.

If 200000 mcf of gas converts to 200000/1000= 200 mmcfd

Is this the number that gets typed into the royalty calculator or do you divide the 200 by 30 days which would be

6.667??

200000 mcf does not convert to 200 mmcf per day, it just converts to 200 mmcf period (not per day).  200mmcf equals 200 million cu ft of gas which in the Haynesville would be a typical months production.  No well in the Haynesville would produce that much gas in a day.
