A neighbors gas well was recently amended by the Texas Railroad Commission to a field transfer from the Eagleridge  to the Sugarkane per a request by the producer. Can someone explain what this means and why it helps the producer.

Well density, spacing and allocation method are all different. Eagle Ridge field looks like (to me) rules for vertical development. Rules for Sugarkane more closely resemble the rules for horizontal development in use in the Barnett Shale.
