What about the Lodwick wells 238913 and 238990 20N 11W
These are HA Drilling & Production Units. As opposed to HA well permits. There are numerous sections with HA wells permitted and/or drilling that have not been applied for unit status. A well is an indication of interest. A unit application is an indication of intent to fully develop.
This is good news after the disappointing IP rates from the Hall, it definitely seems like they like what they have in the area, they might have have to switch up the game plan and experiment.
Remember that the sections covered by this latest Samson Contour unit application are approximately 9 to 12 miles east of the CHK Sharp and Matador Hall 9 wells. And, yes, it could be good news but Samson Contour is somewhat of a cipher. The last time I checked they had more HA unit applications than well permits. As active as they have been, there has to be other players involved. And it could very well be different JV partners in different areas of the Play.
Who have they JV'ed with in the past to your knowledge?
I'm not sure. Read the second paragraph of my blog under the "History of the Haynesville Shale" on the Main Page, left column near the top. That's where I first ran across Samson Contour. They were on to the Haynesville Shale Play from the get go. I meant to do some additional research on SC but haven't found the time. They have one or more sections unitized for the HA zone in 16 different townships scattered over the whole area of the play. Go to SONRIS Lite and check out the number of well permits they have applied for over the last year. Quite curious but I suspect that we have more than one member who could shed some light on SC.
Quite curious indeed. Samson permitted on Oct. 6, Sec 7, T19N, R14W. Our lease expired Dec. 17.
Rancher. That is curious especially if you were not contacted in regard to an extension of the lease term. This well, SMK RC LEFLETT ETAL 7 was permitted 10/06/08. That permit has now expired. Of course, after that date there were numerous company reports detailing reductions in capital expenditures. That well may have been one of the ones canceled. I think it likely that you will be contacted again in the not too distant future.
Does anyone know how drilling of the Samson well in S-12 T17n-R11W is coming along? The last reported data on Sonris is from Nov.
