I'll take a stab in the dark and say most of the Elm Grove Field has been held by production for a long time, operators are spending limited capital in the downturn to develope areas where leases will begin to expire. Not to worry, Elm Grove is in an awesome spot.
hmmm, my lease expires july 2011
I was going over some permit records for 2010, the vast majority of wells in 2010 in Bossier have been permitted in the Elm Grove field. Out of nearly 30 wells permitted, 23 of them are Haynesville Shale wells in the Elm Grove field.
i am pretty sure ours has been permitted but is there a place to go and find out if a "location" is started or will be? Also is there anywhere to tell about pipelines? About 1/4 mile from house there are markings/flaggings that say 25 ft pipeline road and marked with flagging. We are in 161030. Thanks.
What is your section township and range?
16NR10W, Section 30
Section 30 16N R10W
I don't think there are any wells permitted in that section. I think there is quite alot of unleased property in section 30. I know that there was a landowner holding out a year or so ago when the leasing was done.
Talked to my neighbor and we were under the impression that most of section 30 has been leased...just curious...
Smith1,
I think (?) that Petrohawk has unitized 30-16-10. If I'm right, it will only be a matter of time until they drill. That area is too good to let any leases expire.
Henry,
I sure hope you are right. I did receive some notices on proposed units in surrounding sections and I noticed that Section 30 is marked HA RA SU109.
what does HA RA SU109 mean?
